This Cookie Policy explains how casinoscore.ca (the “Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies, what they are for and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operators of the Site.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site recognize your browser, remember your choices and measure how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, do the same kind of work.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set by the Site itself. Third-party cookies are set by another company, for example an analytics provider or a casino’s affiliate network.
The cookies we use
| Type | What it is for | Do we ask for your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Making the Site work and keeping it secure, and remembering your cookie choices | No, because the Site cannot work properly without them |
| Analytics | Showing us how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are read and how people arrive | Yes, where the law requires it |
| Affiliate and tracking | Recording clicks on our links to casinos so that we can measure and credit referrals | Yes, where the law requires it, for the cookies we set. Cookies set by a casino or its affiliate network are covered by their own policies |
Essential cookies
These cookies are needed for basic functions of the Site, such as loading pages correctly, protecting the Site from abuse and remembering your cookie choices. They do not track you across other websites. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the Site may then stop working.
Analytics cookies
We may use analytics tools from third-party providers to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools can collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We use this information in aggregate to fix problems and improve the Site.
Affiliate and tracking cookies
Some links on the Site, such as “Get Bonus” buttons, pass through our own tracking links before they take you to a casino. We may record that the link was clicked. After you arrive at the casino’s website, the casino or its affiliate network may set its own cookies so that it can credit the visit to us and tell us if you register or deposit. We do not control those cookies. Please read the casino’s cookie and privacy policies for details.
Your choices
Where the law requires it, we ask for your permission before we set analytics or tracking cookies. If the Site shows a cookie banner, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies there and change your choice later.
You can also control cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, usually under Privacy or Security. The steps differ by browser, so check your browser’s help pages. If you delete cookies, your choices on the Site may be reset and you may be asked again. If you block all cookies, some parts of the Site may not work.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the use of cookies before you withdrew it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a tool. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
